Poor posture can be both a cause of pain and dysfunction itself, as well as a risk factor in the development of other musculoskeletal injuries, particularly at the spine and shoulder. The sedentary and repetitive nature of modern work activities has meant that poor posture and its related health problems are becoming more prevalent.

At Activate Physiotherapy we feel we can help with these problems by offering advice on how to assume the ideal posture and educate patients on the best ergonomic set-up for their workstation. We also address the muscle imbalances associated with poor postures through a combination of hands-on therapy and a tailored exercise programme.  Therefore, our approach not only treats the musculoskeletal conditions that arise from poor posture, but also prevent problems from arising in the first place.
